Service Description

Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups (plastic or glass) on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. This breaks capillaries (the smallest of blood vessels near the skin surface) and results in red and sometimes purple marks where the cup was. These were the circles seen on many athletes in the Olympics. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, cups are often placed on specific acupuncture points for stimulation. People get cupping for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.
